The Boston Celtics were in the NBA Finals in 2022, but they couldn’t get the job done.
Then, they were one game away from reaching that stage again.
Now, they’re just one win away from the title, and their roster is significantly better than it was in the prior two campaigns.
That’s why Doris Burke believes this team is far from done.
Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the renowned analyst claimed that this could be just the beginning of a dynasty in Boston, provided that Kristaps Porzingis is healthy.

She pointed out just how important he’s been for them as both a rim protector and post-up specialist.
More than that, she believes that a championship would only fuel Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum’s competitive fire, and they would now look to add individual success to what they accomplished, citing Brown’s ambition as why she thought that.
Truth be told, the Celtics have the most talented roster in the game, and it’s not particularly close.
Porzingis’ health will always be a talking point and a major concern, but this team won plenty of games without him.
Brad Stevens deserves plenty of credit for the way he’s put this roster together.
And with Brown and Tatum still just entering their primes, it shouldn’t be shocking to see them dominate the East for years to come, as they already have the experience and, more importantly, could finally get over the hump this season.
