It’s the dawn of a new era for the New England Patriots.
With Bill Belichick no longer calling all the shots, it’ll be up to Jerod Mayo to lead them back to the mountaintop.
Of course, he’s going to need plenty of help from his team, and it all starts with their quarterback.
Drake Maye may or may not play in 2024 but he’s the future of the organization, at least for the time being.
That’s why one fan took an ‘in with the new, out with the old’ approach and reached out to him during training camp to get his old Mac Jones jersey signed (via Patriots on CLNS Media).

The fan crossed Jones’ name off and just wrote Maye on top of it, and the UNC product was clearly loving every second of it.
The Mac Jones experiment was a massive failure in Foxboro.
And while it wasn’t entirely his fault and Belichick’s approach and decision-making were mostly responsible for his poor development and regression, the fact of the matter is that he’s not there anymore.
Jones is now playing for his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars, hoping to learn from Doug Pederson.
Maye, on the other hand, will also have to wait for his time and soak in as much information as possible while Jacoby Brissett handles the starting duties in Foxboro.
One day, maybe, that unique jersey will be worth a lot of money.
