They may be fierce competitors on the court but Draymond Green and LeBron James remain close friends outside of the NBA and greatly respect and admire each other.
On the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” via The Volume, Green spoke about how fun it is to play against the Los Angeles Lakers legend and how the two have had a “chess match” throughout the years.
He spoke about the specific plays and schemes that the Warriors have tried against James and how the two players read one another, something that is only possible after years and years of competition.

Green and James have butted heads on the court many times throughout their lengthy careers, and sometimes it has gotten a bit testy and heated.
But when the final buzzer has sounded, these two have spent a lot of time together and have fostered a close friendship.
That has led to speculation that perhaps they could play together on the same team someday.
At this point, that seems unlikely as James is probably going to sign another extension with the Lakers this summer.
But is there a chance that Green will join him?
The Warriors will have to make a choice about Green soon.
Will they continue to keep him on the roster despite his hefty salary and the problems he has on the court?
This week brought that question up again after Green was ejected from a game against the Orlando Magic because he was arguing with the referees.
If the Warriors decide they have had enough of Green, could he head down south to play with James and the Lakers?
For years, these two players have had a chess match against each other but will they ever compete together?
