There are many reasons why LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history.

He’s never been an elite three-point shooter, and one could argue that his handles and moves are average.

Nonetheless, that has never affected his game being one of the most athletic and smartest players to ever set foot on a basketball court.

At least, that’s what Draymond Green seems to think about him.

In his recent appearance on the Pat Bev Podcast (Via NBA Central), the four-time NBA champion addressed how LeBron’s insane athleticism and basketball IQ have made him so great.

“The fact that he’s that size and that athletic and like top-3, top-5 highest IQs to ever play is insane.”

James can break down the opposing team’s sets in real time.

He has photo-like memory for every single play his team and the other team deploy, and he can go into thorough detail about every single particular play in the game.

He’s one of the most intelligent playmakers to ever live as well, always knowing where his teammates and his defender seem to be at all times.

Of course, his athleticism and physical traits are second to none, and that combination has allowed him to play all five positions at some point throughout the course of his career, which is something not many players can brag about.

James is obviously entering the backend of his career after two decades of playing at the highest level.

And while he’s set the blueprint of what’s a point forward, we might never witness anything similar to him again in our lifetimes, not even in today’s position-less basketball.
