To say that Rudy Gobert is not particularly liked or respected by some of his NBA peers could be a bit of an understatement.

Several players — both active and retired — have gone out of their way to take shots at him, calling him overpaid, overrated, and soft.

They’ve also made fun of him for some of his well-documented struggles, and have questioned whether he should have won so many Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Unsurprisingly, Draymond Green has been his most vocal critic, up to the point where he even chanted ‘Rudy Sucks’ when he was working as an analyst in the playoffs.

That’s why he definitely had to address Gobert being benched in France’s Olympics win over Canada.

In the latest edition of his Podcast, Green questioned the reason why he didn’t start, as his coach claimed that it was a matter of matchups, while Gobert claimed it was because of an injury (Via The Volume).

“To be taken out of the lineup on any other team in the Olympics as an NBA player, not named Team USA is kind of crazy”

Victor Wembanyama had a tough night from the field, but since they couldn’t have two struggling bigs at the same time, he made what Green thought was a logical decision and rolled with Wembanyama, meaning Gobert was heading to the bench.

Green later stated that being subbed out as an NBA player on any team not named Team USA was ‘kind of crazy,’ once again poking fun at Gobert.

This feud will go on until the end of time, and while some of the words should be taken with a grain of salt, Green might actually be on point this time.
