DeMarcus Cousins bounced around the NBA a lot during his 11-year career and he was followed by claims of being hard to work with and temperamental.
Now, Draymond Green is opening up about a humorous but insightful conversation he had with Cousins when they both played for the Golden State Warriors in 2018.
According to a video shared by The Volume, Cousins told Green that “passion” and “attitude” are very similar and can be misunderstood.
He claimed that Green was said to have passion while it was claimed that he only had attitude.
But Cousins thinks that is simply because he wasn’t winning nearly as often as Green was.
If Cousins had a winning record like Green, no one would have been claiming he had an attitude.

This is a valid point from Cousins and one he obviously deeply believes.
He played for the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets throughout his career.
However, it seemed that he butted heads with people everywhere he went.
The same can be said about Green, who is notorious for his on-court altercations.
What some people see as an attitude is what Cousins and Green consider passion.
They are deeply devoted to their game, playing their best, and delivering the most for their teams.
In the end, Green’s track record was much more impressive than Cousins’.
He was never able to land on a championship contender, although he did play for the Nuggets during his last NBA season.
His career average was 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds and he had an impact on every team he played for.
That was because of his skills, of course, but also his passion.
