The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty is over, and these days, it isn’t a lock that they will even make the playoffs.

They lost Klay Thompson, one of the main pillars of their dynasty, this offseason, and thus their roster looks even weaker than it did this past season when they lost in the play-in tournament to the Sacramento Kings.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are now left to try to keep the team competitive with a different group around them, and with both getting up there in age, the question is how much longer they will play in the NBA, let alone at a high level.

Per Bleacher Report, Green admitted he has only about two NBA seasons left in him.

Green averaged 8.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists a game this past season, and he remains one of basketball’s best Swiss Army knives.

He can rebound, handle the ball, run the fast break, hit the open man and occasionally score, and he’s still one of the better and most effective defenders in the NBA.

Green has, however, hurt the Warriors recently with his antics, and they resulted in him getting suspended three times since the start of the 2023 playoffs.

After losing Thompson, Golden State brought in sharpshooter Buddy Hield, forward Kyle Anderson and guard De’Anthony Melton, but it won’t be the same as having Thompson, who has been one of the game’s greatest outside shooters ever over the past decade.

They’re now in the position of fighting to regain a shred of their old respectability, barring a massive trade, which they reportedly would love to make this summer.
