It’s impressive how the Minnesota Timberwolves have advanced to the Western Conference Finals, but they now face the possibility of going down 0-3 to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Timberwolves dropped both homes games to the Mavericks in dramatic fashion and now must go on the road and win two games to steal home-court advantage back.
It’s a tall task for a team like Minnesota who has shown they have trouble coming up with buckets in the clutch compared to Dallas who has both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Although Anthony Edwards has vowed to be more aggressive during Game 3, the Mavericks surely have plans in place to try and slow him down.
Before the series started, Minnesota was considered the favorites to advance to the NBA Finals but their window could very well close shut as soon as Game 3 ends.
Adding insult to injury, Draymond Green said that if the Timberwolves never win a title no one could care via The Big Podcast.
“You never expect a team in Minnesota to win the NBA finals… If the Minnesota Timberwolves never win an NBA finals, nobody’s batting an eye,” Green said.

Green was asked which teams deserve a break and should win a title, and he took a shot at Minnesota unprompted because they haven’t been historically relevant to the league.
There’s no secret that the NBA would prefer its marquee teams like the Los Angeles Lakers or Knicks to win it all, though that shouldn’t stop a small-market team like Minnesota from proving its doubters wrong and winning it all.
