Draymond Green Sends A Clear Message About Team USA

Despite boasting a plethora of young NBA talent, Team USA is coming off a very disappointing outing in the FIBA World Cup.

That fiasco, plus the fact that some of the stars who have dominated the league for two decades are walking their last steps in the NBA, made them go after some big names to avoid that from happening in the Olympics.

Grant Hill got to work and put together an Avengers-like squad to bring home the gold in Paris, and they now need to prove how seriously they take the Olympics.

That won’t be a problem for Team USA, at least, not in Draymond Green’s mind.

When asked about Team USA’s chances, the Golden State Warriors star didn’t have an ounce of doubt in his mind about winning the gold medal, stating that basketball was their sport and what they do (via NBA on ESPN).

Ironically, basketball was actually invented by a Canadian, and the rest of the world has gotten significantly better at it.

The talent gap has become quite narrow, not to mention the fact that the narrative about foreign players being soft and/or unathletic is no longer the case.

Even so, Steve Kerr and his coaching staff will have nothing but the best of the best at his disposal.

On paper, Team USA has absolutely everything they need to not only win but also to dominate on both ends of the floor.
