Draymond Green’s show gives the Golden State Warriors star a chance to share his many opinions about the NBA, and sometimes his thoughts anger others.

He just likely upset many Minnesota Timberwolves fans with his latest statement.

Green took issue with the fact that Karl-Anthony Towns has been tasked with guarding Nikola Jokic in the Western Conference semifinals, even though the Timberwolves have Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert on the roster.

“There’s a center who won Defensive Player of the Year and we asking KAT to go guard the center,” Green said.

Green thinks that Gobert should naturally be the one to shut down Jokic for a number of reasons.

They are of similar size, play similar roles, and, of course, Gobert was just named the best defensive star in the league.

Since Jokic is such an offensive threat, it only makes sense that Gobert be in charge of shutting him down.

Instead, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch has delegated that job to Towns.

It is indeed interesting to see Towns guarding Jokic instead of Gobert but it worked out in the team’s favor during Game 6 and they claimed a massive 45-point win

Still, there is no doubt that Green’s comments are influenced by his general dislike of Gobert.

These two players do not care for each other, which became abundantly clear earlier this season when they had an on-court scuffle.

Green placed Gobert in a chokehold during the first quarter of a November 14 game, which led to a suspension and a ton of headlines about these two.

Since then, he has taken a few shots at Gobert and this latest criticism of the Timberwolves is just the latest.
