Drew Bledsoe Admits To Frustration About His Legacy

During the roast of legendary quarterback Tom Brady on Netflix recently, former New England Patriots star quarterback Drew Bledsoe made an appearance and was extremely humble as he roasted his former teammate while also laughing at his own expense for how things went down with him and Brady in New England.

Brady infamously replaced Bledsoe after the latter got hurt and had just signed a massive contract with the Patriots worth $100 million, which was big money back in that era, and he was never able to get his starting job back in New England.

As a result of Brady becoming the long-term starter for the Patriots, Bledsoe’s career in the NFL was never the same, as he moved on to play a few seasons with the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys before calling it a career in April of 2007.

Although Bledsoe has a Super Bowl title and four Pro Bowl appearances and is presumably still a very wealthy man from the money he made in New England, he recently admitted it still stings what happened in New England, considering all the success the team and Brady went on to have without him, via “All Facts No Brakes.”

“First of all, I can’t change it, so I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about it.  But it is frustrating,” Bledsoe said.

Fortunately for Bledsoe, he’s been nothing but a good sport about how things panned out in New England and seems to come to terms with what happened, even though it still pains him to think about it.

Bledsoe seems to be the perfect example of handling a demotion in professional sports and continuing to hold your head up high.
