Dwight Howard Offers Hilarious Update On His Retirement Plans

Regardless of how you feel about him, there’s no one who can deny that Dwight Howard is one of the greatest players in NBA history.

He was a ruling force of his own when he was in his prime, dominating both sides of the glass and being the No. 1 rim protector and rebounder in the league by a big margin.

Needless to say, a lot has happened since then, and while he’s still in great physical shape, he’s no longer the defensive specialist he used to be.

Even so, there’s no way to look at him and think he couldn’t give any team at least 15 minutes of solid play off the bench, and we don’t just mean championship contenders.

That’s why he’s going to keep pushing to make an NBA comeback.

He took to Twitter to make it loud and clear that even though he just turned 38 years old, he’s not going to retire until he’s given the chance to play in the In-Season Tournament, so I guess he’s going to keep grinding for at least another season.

I turned 38 today and I thought about it lol… I’m not retiring before I have the chance to say I played in a In season tournament game lol

Howard was reportedly quite close to signing a deal with the Golden State Warriors this season.

Given his character issues over the years, some might not want to give him another chance.

Even so, from a basketball standpoint at the very least, he deserves it.
