The Golden State Warriors won’t have one of their best players on the floor indefinitely.

Draymond Green is facing an indefinite suspension for yet another altercation, this time with Jusuf Nurkic.

Green flailed while trying to sell a foul and hit the Phoenix Suns’ big man in the face, and while he claimed it was unintentional, it was also the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Nonetheless, even though most fans and even some of his colleagues agree that it was about time that someone held Green accountable, it seems like former NBA champion Dwight Howard thinks otherwise.

That’s why he took to Twitter to state “free him,” and while he didn’t directly mention Green’s name, it happened shortly after the news of his suspension broke.

There were multiple reports about Howard being close to signing with the Warriors in the offseason.

Eventually, the Warriors moved on from the former Defensive Player of the Year, with ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith arguing that the team didn’t want him to be a distraction.

The irony is that it’s now Green who is the one driving all the unnecessary attention and the one who seems to be hurting his team with his antics.

Hopefully, this will be the last time he puts his team through this, as they just don’t deserve it.
