With the Olympics just around the corner, Team USA will feature nothing but the creme of the crop again.

The best players in the game will team up to try and bring the gold medal back to the United States, and they might face the steepest competition they’ve come across in quite a while.

Team USA will have an obligation to bounce back after a subpar and disappointing performance in the FIBA World Cup again, but the rest of the world has gotten significantly better, and the talent gap isn’t as wide as it used to be.

That’s why they’re bringing in the stars, not only on the roster but also off the court.

According to a report by Miami Heat insider Barry Jackson, NBC has hired Dwyane Wade to be their game analyst on Team USA’s games at the Paris Olympics this summer, joining Noah Eagle.

Wade surely knows a thing or two about playing in the Olympics, being a part of several squads, including the Redeem Team.

The Miami Heat legend is considered to be one of the five greatest shooting guards this game has ever seen, and his combination of inside knowledge, experience, and charisma should be a major addition to NBC’s broadcast.

It’s nice to see a player of Wade’s caliber staying close to the game.

It felt like he still had some more left in the tank when he decided to walk away from the league, and he even briefly sparked rumors of a comeback months ago, but that just seems unlikely at this point.
