It’s nice to see that NBA players are rooting for and endorsing WNBA stars now more than ever.
It all started when Kobe Bryant started attending games with his daughter Gigi and encouraged his peers to do the same, often rocking WNBA apparel and whatnot.
Now, Dwyane Wade is also doing the same by not only investing in a WNBA team but also praising the players on social media, and it’s definitely well deserved.
The latest example of this was when he took to Twitter to praise two-time Defensive Player of the Year A’Ja Wilson for winning the award again.

Wilson has been a defensive stalwart for the Las Vegas Aces for years now, and she’s already considered to be one of the most imposing and dominant defenders in league history.
Of course, some people will always look down on the WNBA and its players, and while we can all agree that the league is an improving product and it’s still not as good as the men’s league, it needs everyone’s support to reach those same heights at some point.
Women’s hoops are drawing more attention and viewership as the years go by.
As for Wade, props to him for believing in the WNBA and trying to make it as successful as the NBA.
Hopefully, many more current and former players will follow his steps as well.
