It is always interesting when NFL players get brutally honest about what went wrong for their team in the previous year.

Philadelphia Eagles franchise edge-rusher Brandon Graham did not mince words when talking about why things fell apart for the Eagles on defense in the second half of the regular season last year.

“We didn’t have all the right coaches in the right position,” Graham recently told the Philadelphia media.

The team had to move former defensive coordinator Sean Desai around last season because he wasn’t finding success as the leader of the defense.

This offseason, they moved off of Desai and hired long-time defensive mind Vic Fangio to coach the defense in what may be his final stop in the NFL.

The 65-year-old is approaching close to 40 years in the NFL as a defensive coach.

Veteran players like Brandon Graham should benefit from even more experience within the coaching staff.

Graham, 36, is entering his final season in the NFL.

The former All-Pro defender has 73.0 career sacks.

This Eagles team has been contending for the last three NFL seasons.

They have won 36 games in total over the last three seasons, including the playoffs.

Philly made the Super Bowl in 2022 after going 14-3 in the regular season.

However, after starting off 10-1 last season, they finished 11-6 and lost in the NFC Wild Card Round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This team missed a golden opportunity to get back to the Super Bowl, but the addition of Fangio should be able to push this team beyond what they were last year.
