After falling short in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles tried to bounce back with a vengeance during the 2023 NFL campaign and get back to the big game in order to avenge their loss to Patrick Mahomes and company.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, things fell apart for the Eagles after they got off to a strong start to the season. They struggled to put it together on both sides of the ball, leading to questions about the coaching staff and whether the team’s championship window had already closed.

Despite all the negativity surrounding the Eagles after that disappointing end to last season, Philadelphia was able to go to work during the offseason and landed arguably the most prominent name available on the free agent market by signing running back Saquon Barkley, formerly of the division-rival New York Giants.

With Barkley now joining star quarterback Jalen Hurts in the backfield, the Eagles seem confident they’ll have a solid 2024 NFL season, and tight end Dallas Goedert was all smiles when talking about his new teammate on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams.

“He’s a special player,” Goedert said. “We’ve been able to see him twice a year every year. Going against him, I remember him running down the sideline giving the peace sign as he scores a touchdown, so I’m excited for him to do that for us.”

Barkley adds another dynamic to an already talented offense led by Hurts and star wide receiver A.J. Brown, and Philadelphia very well may be able to bounce back during the upcoming season while becoming the best offense in the league.

The real question is whether head coach Nick Sirianni can put it all together and get his team back to elite status in the NFC to take a legitimate run at winning a title.
