The Dallas Cowboys were pretty much perfect on Thanksgiving.

They didn’t have a lot of trouble getting past the Washington Commanders, who never posed a real threat in the game.

Dak Prescott continued his MVP-caliber run by throwing for over 330 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions, spreading the wealth all over his receiving corps and getting everybody involved.

Also, Dan Quinn’s defense did its part and made sure to keep Sam Howell on his toes throughout the course of the entire game, with star CB DaRon Bland even making history.

Bland became the first player in NFL history to get at least five pick-sixs in a single season, earning the praise of his colleagues and even his opponents.

That’s why Philadelphia Eagles star Darius Slay had no choice but to take to Twitter to tip his hat to Bland, stating that he should win this year’s Defensive Player of the Year honors and it shouldn’t even be a debate.

DPOY Bland right now… it shouldn’t even be a debate

Needless to say, Eagles fans won’t love to see him praising one of their rivals’ stars, but he might have a valid point.

Bland stepped up big time when they needed him the most, as they had just lost CB Trevon Diggs for the season, and he’s entered the league’s record books with this impressive milestone.

Then again, there is no shortage of candidates for that distinction, with Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett and Pittsburgh Steelers’ T.J. Watt as other likely winners of the award.
