The Philadelphia Eagles are faced with the unfortunate task of having to replace a franchise legend this season, as future Hall-of-Fame center Jason Kelce decided to retire this offseason.

They’ll have to do the same next offseason, as another franchise legend has decided that the 2024 season will be his last in the NFL.

Defensive end Brandon Graham recently announced that this season will be his 15th and final year with the Eagles, and in a recent interview from training camp shared by KYW News Radio, Graham said this is his “last first day as a player” and said he doesn’t know what the future holds beyond that.

Graham added that he is thankful and trying to enjoy every day without rushing in order to soak everything in.

There were rumors that Graham was going to hang them up this offseason alongside Kelce, but he decided to return for one more season on a one-year, $4 million deal before riding off into the sunset.

At 36 years old, Graham posted just three sacks last season after putting up a career-high 11 in 2022 en route to making it to the Super Bowl.

With so much pass-rushing talent on this team, there isn’t the same pressure on Graham to be the star that he used to be, and in his one remaining year, the Eagles will surely be hoping he can leave behind some of his wisdom for the young guys.

It will be rough losing the team’s two stalwarts on each side of the ball in back-to-back offseasons, but Eagles fans knew this day was coming at some point and can hopefully enjoy Graham’s last year in Philly.
