The 2024 NFL Season is nearly here.
After months of anticipation and offseason drama, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens will kick off the season on September 5th.
With the season just around the corner, fans and analysts alike are starting to finalize their preseason predictions, hoping to be the best prognosticators.
Many analysts have picked the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl for the third straight year, given their dominance over the rest of the league.
However, others have gone down a contrarian route, including Eric Mangini, who picked a surprising team to win the Super Bowl in a recent appearance on First Things First.
Mangini pointed to the Detroit Lions as his Super Bowl-winning pick.

The Lions, of course, have come a long way over the last few seasons.
Dan Campbell has changed the team culture and chemistry, which helped make it to the NFC Championship last year.
They might have been a bottom-feeder for many years, but the Lions have proved they’re ready to play and compete with some of the best teams in the league.
Mangini believes their ceiling is Super Bowl champions, a prediction that would have been laughed at two years ago.
The Lions are starting to find their footing under Campbell, and there’s certainly a chance they can make it all the way.
Of course, their road will not be easy, especially in their own division, as the Green Bay Packers seem poised and ready to give them a run for their money for the NFC North title.
