The Kansas City Chiefs are set to kick off the 2024-25 NFL season on Thursday in a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens as they look to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
To get the job done, they’ll need all the help they can get, even from pop icon Taylor Swift, who has reportedly joined the team as a freelance coach since she began drawing up plays for the team this offseason.
In a sitdown interview with Chris Simms, quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared that Swift has been asking great questions about football and drawing up plays, noting “we might have to put one in.”

Mahomes said that as his social profile has grown due to Swift’s involvement with the team it has been great seeing more women embracing the sport and little girls watching football with their fathers.
Maybe Swift is the one who drew up the behind-the-back pass Mahomes threw to Travis Kelce in their recent preseason game?
Mahomes had his worst statistical season last year in part due to the wide receiver room leading the league in drops, but with Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy in town now, he’ll look to get back to his usual numbers.
For now, coach Andy Reid’s job appears to be safe, but we’ll see how Swift does with the plays she is drawing up and if his seat gets hot anytime soon.
