The San Francisco 49ers have their most important offensive player back on the field.
Superstar offensive tackle Trent Williams has put an end to his holdout.
According to a report by Ari Meirov, both parties have agreed to a restructured deal that will allow him to suit up for Monday night’s opener vs. the New York Jets.

However, as needed as this was, the common belief around the fans is that the Niners may have overpaid to get him.
Whatever it is it’s prolly an underpay

How do the niners have all of this cap space?!

That might be the case, but it’s hard to think one overpays for the guy who keeps your quarterback safe.
The Niners struggled mightily to get anything going on offense when he was out last season, and if they intend to give Brock Purdy a big-money deal as reported, then they need to have the best tackle in the league out there to guard him.
The front office deserves plenty of credit for getting their two disgruntled stars back on the field.
They managed to get Brandon Aiyuk to take the very same deal they had offered him all along, and now, they can focus on entering the season with Williams on the field and then getting a deal done for years to come.
The NFL market is overblown, and it feels like all players are being overpaid right now; that’s just the way it is.
And if you have to spend a couple of extra bucks to keep one of the best players in the league happy, so be it.
