Over the last few months, there’s been much debate about Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, and whether he is a legitimate NBA player and worth being taken in one of the two rounds of the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.
Bronny James did not exactly put on a stellar performance during his lone season with the University of Southern California, as he averaged only 4.8 points per game in 25 games and rarely saw the basketball floor as a starter for the Trojans, which has led some to believe that he might not get drafted at all next month.
However, the hype train is full speed ahead, especially after the 19-year-old had an impressive performance at the NBA Draft Combine, as he excelled in the three-point star shooting drill, making 19 of his 25 attempts from beyond the arc, according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.

Here are some of the things that were said about Bronny James:
Bronny just went a full minute and 15 seconds without missing in movement shooting drill, which is also a test for conditioning, shooting when tired. Impressive stuff here pic.twitter.com/SD6p95cK07

Bronny is going to the Bulls (11) or the Heat (15) before the Lakers pick at 17. The storyline writes itself.

Even though Bronny James may be quite a project to develop for an NBA team, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be interested in taking him with their second-round pick, mainly due to keeping LeBron James happy and in Purple and Gold for the next few years.
It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Bronny James drops through the two rounds of the draft and doesn’t get selected, which might be the ideal situation for the Lakers, who would likely have the edge in signing him as an undrafted free agent.
