Chase Claypool’s NFL career has reached yet another roadblock.

Despite having all the physical tools and traits to be a dominant force in the league, he has failed to establish himself.

Now, that’s not going to happen this season, if at all.

As reported by NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Buffalo Bills have officially placed him on Injured Reserve (IR) and he will miss the entire season.

The wide receiver missed most of training camp after suffering a toe injury late in July.

He was initially deemed as day-to-day and was even in attendance at practice and during their preseason opener vs. the Chicago Bears.

However, he was unable to partake in a full-padded practice, and that might not change for a very long while.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long before the fans took to Twitter to share their skepticism about any potential comeback.

The Bills could still agree to pay him an injury settlement, which would also allow him to re-sign with them or another team at some point in the season.

Claypool has had a very disappointing career.

He had reports of a lack of maturity and a questionable work ethic when he entered the league with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was eventually traded to the Chicago Bears, but things only got worse there.

The Notre Dame product complained about the way he was being used in the offense, and he was eventually shipped to the Miami Dolphins, where he only had four receptions in nine appearances.
