New Orleans Pelicans superstar Zion Williamson has been scrutinized throughout his career for being out of shape and consistently reporting to camp as the heaviest player in the NBA, which has undoubtedly contributed to the extensive injury history he has had to endure.
A recent photo that surfaced showed Zion showing off a new look and physique, and it has drawn a lot of attention on social media.
NBACentral shared a photo of Zion hanging out at his basketball camp with a couple of young fans while looking noticeably slimmer while sporting a nice new beard.

Naturally, fans are blown away after years of making jokes and can’t believe how good Zion looks with a few months still to go before the season starts.

Pelicans fans just have to hope that Williamson doesn’t pull a James Harden, whose incredible shapeshifting abilities used to somehow have him looking 50 pounds heavier or lighter from one day to the next depending on what he was wearing.
Zion’s leaner physique looks undeniable even though he is wearing a black shirt, and after playing a career-high 70 games last season, he may finally be ready to make another leap.
He is still just 24 years old and played only 114 games over his first four years in the league, and fans and media members have been begging for him to slim down for years to get back to the player he looked like when he was at Duke.
Major props to Zion for apparently taking the next step in his health journey.
