The Dallas Cowboys have a ‘new’ running back.
Ezekiel Elliott is officially back home, and he’s thrilled about it.
That’s why he took to Twitter to express his excitement about this new chapter of his career.
“Run it back,” Elliott said.
RUN IT BACK

Elliott should’ve never left Arlington.
The team claimed that they didn’t want to disrespect him by lowballing him with an offer last offseason, but he always wanted to stay there.
Instead, he had to wait until training camp to get an opportunity to play for the New England Patriots, and he looked solid to close out the season.
Then again, he’s nowhere near the player he once was.
Once a running back loses a step, it’s a wrap, and Elliott lost a step at least two seasons ago.
Granted, he did a lot for the Cowboys and should go down as one of the greatest running backs in franchise history, but he’s not the guy they need right now, at least not as a featured back.
The Cowboys didn’t do anything to give Dak Prescott a hand with skill players this offseason, although they did replenish his offensive line after letting some of his starters walk away.
Elliott will now get a chance to retire with the team he entered the league with, and he might even still be a factor in short-yardage situations and near the goal-line, which is something they lacked last season.
As for becoming a factor as a three-down back, he might be way past that at this point in his career.
