The New England Patriots were looking to bolster their running back room in the offseason.
Once Damien Harris left in free agency, the team was looking for another power back to pair with starter Rhamondre Stevenson.
That is why they went out and signed former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott may not be the player he once was but he can still add value to a team.
He is great in short yardage and can excel as a goal-line back.
Also, he has good hands and can handle some passing-down work if necessary.
Elliott signed with the Patriots on August 16.
Since then, he has already established a bond with some of his teammates.
He had some impressive things to say about quarterback Mac Jones.
According to the Patriots on Twitter, Elliott said: “He’s a pro, he does everything like a pro and he’s a great leader.”
Zeke is finally in Foxboro.

Jones has once again been given the keys to the Patriots’ offense for the third straight season.
But he must play significantly better this year to keep his job.
Ever since Tom Brady retired the Patriots have been looking for a new leader of their franchise.
While Jones did lead them to the playoffs in his rookie year, he has struggled since.
Yet, it seems like he is having a good training camp and should be in for a successful season.
It will be interesting to see how this Patriots offense operates this season.
They have a two-headed monster in the backfield which should only help Jones as he looks to establish himself as a franchise player.
