The Atlanta Falcons finished the 2022 season with a 7-10 record.
As they look towards 2023, many are projecting the Falcons to have a greatly improved season, largely due to their young offensive core.
This will start at the quarterback position, as Desmond Ridder will be taking over as the team’s likely starter.
Ridder recently appeared on NFL Live, where he detailed his thoughts on their offense.
When asked about Bijan Robinson specifically, Ridder mentioned his explosiveness, saying, “His ability to play anywhere and do anything is just really huge.”

Robinson was a highly-touted running back prospect who many are comparing to Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey.
The 2023 NFL Draft marked the third in a row that the Falcons used first-round capital on a skill-position player.
They took Kyle Pitts with the fourth overall pick in 2021, Drake London with the eighth overall pick in 2022, and Robinson with the eighth overall pick this year.
Robinson was the highest-drafted running back since 2018 when the New York Giants selected Barkley with the second overall pick.
With any luck, he’ll be able to make an immediate impact on the Falcons’ offense, helping Ridder succeed in his first full year as the starter.
Ridder was later asked about Pitts and London, and what he’s been working on with them during the offseason.
He responded that he’s been continuing to “develop that relationship with Drake,” and “build that relationship with Kyle.”
Due to the Falcons’ investment in their offense, they will be in search of a heightened return this season.
