Two games is an eternity in NBA time.
Things can change pretty quickly and pretty drastically in the Association, and that’s why the fans always keep receipts.
In fact, even players take to social media and look their names up to draw some motivation from what’s being said about them.
That was the case with Mike Malone, who reportedly had put together an edit of all the talking heads and pundits claiming the series was over when they fell 0-2 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Notably, that includes Charles Barkley.
Just five days ago, the Hall of Famer claimed this series was a wrap, adding that the Denver Nuggets didn’t have an edge anywhere and that the Timberwolves were dominating them and outplaying them.
He also stated that they had a true dog and wolf in Anthony Edwards, and there was no way a team that had that kind of guy would lose (Via Ballislife.com).
“This series is a wrap. Minnesota is better than the Nuggets. They’re gonna sweep the Denver Nuggets. Period.”

Fast forward to today, and the series is 2-2 and heading back to Denver for Game 5.
Needless to say, the fans were ruthless to Chuck about this take, which didn’t age well at all.
Nice call Chuckster

That’s just the thing with fans and media.
People are always quick to overreact, and while the Timberwolves looked fairly superior to the Nuggets earlier in the series, it’s the defending NBA champions we’re talking about.
Hopefully, this series will go to seven games, and it’ll be interesting to see how many people have changed their minds about the Nuggets after the past couple of games.
