The Green Bay Packers made a splash move earlier in the offseason by signing All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs away from the Las Vegas Raiders.

While recently speaking with The Athletic, Jacobs talked about his decision to come to Green Bay rather than a place like Kansas City.

“I never wanted to be the guy that joined the dominant team. I want to be the guy that beats the dominant team,” Jacobs said.

If fans are loving his reasoning for why he chose to come to Green Bay and not Kansas City, just wait for him to put the pads on and play for the Packers.

The two-time Pro Bowl running back and former national champion has recorded over 1,100 scrimmage yards in each of his first five NFL seasons.

His best season came in 2022 when he recorded over 2,000 scrimmage yards and led the league in rushing en route to being named an All-Pro.

Replacing a former Pro Bowl running back in Aaron Jones, who was beloved in Green Bay by fans, coaches, and teammates alike, could be a tall task.

But with Jacobs’ abilities, it could be a lot easier than it looks.

On offense, he will join franchise quarterback Jordan Love and a cast of young, yet talented receivers such as Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks.

If he hits on his potential in Green Bay, the Packers could very well be bringing home the Lombardi Trophy in the near future.
