Wild sports takes tend to fly off the screen when the NFL season is just around the corner.
Certain media members on sports television shows can tend to go a little crazy as they look for content to talk about.
Fox Sports’s Jason McIntyre had one of the more wild takes when recently chatting about T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“If you want to turn things around in Pittsburgh…I think you gotta put T.J. Watt on the trading block,” McIntyre said on The Herd.

Now, NFL fans have gone in on McIntyre for what he said.
Bro is yapping and don’t watch football.

Pls inform this man to never speak about the NFL again… This is the most “preseason” and moronic take of all-time. Good Lord.

For starters, this take is wild because T.J. Watt is arguably the best defensive player in the league.
How many teams get better after they trade not just their best player but likely a Hall of Fame player too?
The six-time Pro-Bowler and 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is the ultimate straw that stirs the drink in Pittsburgh.
In five of the last six seasons, he has recorded 13+ sacks, 20+ quarterback hits, five or more pass deflections, and multiple forced fumbles.
His best season came in 2021 when he tied an NFL record with 22.5 sacks.
Simply put, he is one of the best pass-rushers of this era.
McIntyre’s take is also off because it isn’t like the Steelers are a bad team.
They won 10 games last season and made the playoffs.
Still just 29 years of age, the Steelers need to build around Watt instead of making the stunning decision to trade him.
