One of the biggest weaknesses for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2023 NFL season was at the wide receiver position, with the team losing some key players to NFL free agency, leaving the team to lean on some unknown and unproven players at the position.

Fortunately for the Chiefs, the team got a potential star in the making with rookie wide receiver Rashee Rice, as he seemed to get better and better as the season progressed and quickly became one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets downfield in Kansas City.

However, sometimes youth and success on the NFL level and be a recipe for disaster when it comes to the choices these young players make off the field, with Rice becoming the perfect example of that after what recently transpired.

Apparently, Rice was involved in a major accident in Dallas on Saturday and fled the scene.

Although this isn’t at the level of what former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs did a few years ago, which resulted in someone dying on the scene, Rice’s playing career in the NFL may be in serious jeopardy.

Obviously, this is not ideal for the Chiefs, who are coming off a second straight Super Bowl win and have high hopes of being the first team in NFL history to pull off a three-peat.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Chiefs part ways with Rice after this incident.
