Fans Can’t Believe What Mike Francesa Said About The Jets’ Front Office

The New York Jets are pulling out all the stops during this NFL offseason in order to bounce back with a vengeance during the 2024 campaign after things fell apart for the storied franchise this past season following Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury.

Along with bringing in wide receiver Mike Williams and left tackle Tyron Smith and making a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire linebacker Haason Reddick, the Jets possess the No. 10 overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, where the team can get some real value.

At this point in time, it is uncertain what position the Jets will use the pick on as they could try to bring another wide receiver due to how many talented players will likely be available or they could continue to address the offensive line and bring in offensive tackle Joe Alt.

The Jets’ offensive line has been a major concern, and the team did a good job of addressing the problem with Smith, but adding Alt would be another upgrade and potentially a player who will be with the team for a long time.

Apparently, Mike Francesa, who may have gone a little too far with a recent hot take, is one major advocate of the Jets getting Alt if he’s available at No. 10 overall, via Dov Kleiman on Twitter.

“He’s probably going to be there for the Jets,” Francesa said. “If the Jets get the good fortune of Alt being there at 10, if they don’t take him, they should be shot.”

Mike Francesa says the #Jets front office “should be shot” if they pass on Notre Dame OT Joe Alt in the first round.

Here are some fan reactions to Francesa going a bit overboard when talking about the Jets:

A slight bit aggressive lol

what

He’s not gonna be there at 10 so we will never know

Even though Francesa is likely correct about what the Jets should do with the No. 10 overall pick in the draft, he took it a little too far and will likely get a lot of heat for it moving forward.

However, only time will tell if Alt will fall to the Jets and if the team chooses to bring him in.
