Not so long ago, the San Antonio Spurs set the standard for what a winning organization was.

And while David Robinson, Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker have gotten most of the praise and recognition for that, none of that would’ve been possible if it wasn’t for Manu Ginobili.

That’s why fans took to Twitter to celebrate him a happy birthday shortly after Ball is Life shared a clip of some of the greatest plays of his career.

Didn’t realize he had so many posters

Ginobili is undeniably one of the greatest sixth men the game of basketball has ever seen.

He embraced a lesser role and agreed to come off the bench despite being good enough to start on most NBA teams, and he never complained about his role.

Ginobili wasn’t a starter, but he was definitely a closer.

He made a living out of making huge plays in the clutch on both ends of the floor, getting big blocks, knocking down huge shots, and boasting one of the most remarkable basketball IQs of all time.

The Argentinean star also laid the blueprint for lefty shooting guards, with guys like James Harden admittedly taking a page out of his book.

Manu’s signature Euro-step was his most iconic move, but he was as crafty and versatile as a scorer and playmaker as they come.

He spent his entire career with the Spurs organization, and will go down as one of the most impactful, entertaining, and intelligent foreign players to ever take his talents to the Association.
