Ohtani is having an even better season this year than when he won the American League MVP award.

That’s saying a lot: he was the unanimous winner a couple of years ago.

After a historic month of June, Ohtani is having video-game numbers both as a hitter and as a pitcher.

With a bat in his hands, he is slashing .300/.387/.658 with a league-leading 31 home runs.

He has also accumulated 11 stolen bases, 61 runs scored, and 68 RBI.

After struggling a bit this week against the San Diego Padres on the mound, his ERA for the season stands at 3.32 in 100.1 frames.

He has accumulated an incredible 132 strikeouts as a hurler, thanks to a triple-digit fastball and a vicious splitter-slider combination.

There is not a single player MLB teams would rather have; and at 29 years old, odds are we still haven’t seen the best of him.
