The Washington Commanders and Dan Snyder are one step closer to parting ways.
Sports business mogul Josh Harris has officially submitted his bid of an NFL-record price of $6.05 billion to acquire the Commanders, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

This puts the team one step closer to a new era, which led to plenty of excitement and optimism among the fans on Twitter.
Snyder gonna sell out (like Sarver did) and seek to duck the investigations into his improprieties but he’s not gonna be a public figure anymore and that’s worth something.

Rapoport explained that even though the process could take some time, the league should have no reason to turn down this bid.
The sale will have to be approved by the NFL’s finance committee and at least three-fourths of the league’s 32 owners, with the owners set to meet in Minneapolis next month for their annual Spring League Meeting.
Harris is the co-owner of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, as well as a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He’s joined in his investment group by NBA legend Magic Johnson and renowned businessman Mitchell Rales, so there shouldn’t be any funding issues whatsoever here.
The Snyders have owned the Washington Commanders for the past 24 years, but with the team currently being subject to three different investigations, it seems like a sale was the safest move.
Notably, there’s also a report of a $7 billion bid by former NBA player Brian Davis, although there’s still no word as to why he hasn’t been considered as a legit bidder for the team, considering he’s willing to pay way more money than Harris and company.
