After a slow start to the 2023-24 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers are finally settling into a groove as they’ve been able to stack up wins and climb back into the playoff race.
The Lakers came into the year with championship aspirations, though health has already been an issue as they’ve missed multiple rotation players.
However, that hasn’t stopped LeBron James from reminding the league that he remains one of the best players in the world despite being in Year 21 of his illustrious career.
James has been on an absolute tear the past few weeks and looks like he’s motivated to win his fifth NBA championship.
Although Los Angeles is pushing for AD to be the face of the franchise, James has made it clear that he’s more than capable of carrying the team so long as he’s healthy.
At this point, James seems to set a new record every game and he hit another huge milestone in their In-Season Tournament game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, via Hoop Central.

James will set a new points record every time he scores a bucket given that he’s the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, but to hit 39,000 points is quite the accomplishment for someone who considers himself more of a passer.
Despite being 38 years old, James finds ways to get to his spots and score over defenses who are preparing for him.
Los Angeles is fortunate to be getting another strong season from the superstar so far, though the rest of the team will need to step up if they want to add another banner in the rafters.
