The Minnesota Timberwolves landed a true gem in Anthony Edwards.
The Georgia product has lived up to the hype as the No. 1 pick, and he keeps getting better and better.
Edwards seems to have that ‘it’ factor that makes him stand out from the rest of the pack, often scoring tough buckets despite being heavily guarded.
That’s why plenty of tans took to Twitter to praise him for yet another tough score over two Dallas Mavericks defenders in the preseason (via Hoop Central).

Edwards has worked on his few flaws since he entered the league, showing a determination to be great.
He’s embraced a leadership role within his team, trying to uplift everybody around him and even stating that the Timberwolves are still Karl-Anthony Towns’ team and that he’s fine by that.
But in reality, the Timberwolves are his team now, or at least they should be.
Towns’ stats have rarely translated into winning basketball, and there have always been reports and doubts about his character and ability to rise up to the occasion.
Even so, given his talents, he could still be an elite second option for a guy like Edwards.
He’s a rising star who’s starting to put some work on the defensive end as well, and while it might take a while before he’s an impactful defender, he’s at least trying hard to improve.
It shouldn’t take long before we see Edwards on the shortlist for league MVP candidates.
