It took him five games in the NBA Summer League, but Bronny James finally had an efficient performance.

The No. 55 pick had a solid first half vs. the Atlanta Hawks, especially by his standards, and he knocked down a clutch three in the second half to help tie things up.

As pointed out by Bleacher Report on Twitter, Bronny finished the game with 12 points on 5-of-11 from the floor.

Given the way he had performed thus far, the fans were relieved to finally watch him knock down some shots, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on him.

Bronny already better than the first 2 picks in this draft I’m crying

Ironically, some members of the media have called for people to stop demanding greatness from him or acting as if he were a top pick when he was the No. 55 selection.

Being LeBron James’ son, some will root for him and some will be against him, and everything he does or doesn’t do will be blown out of proportion.

It’s never wise to either count out or be 100% sold in on a player after the Summer League.

However, what goes beyond the stat sheet; the intangibles, shot selection, and whatnot, are often a true indicator of future success — or lack thereof.

Still, being able to shut down the outside noise, keep working, and then rise to the occasion is what NBA players do.
