The Los Angeles Lakers drafted D’Angelo Russell with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
However, Russell’s stint with the Lakers lasted for only two seasons as the organization traded him to the Brooklyn Nets.
After spending a few seasons away from the team, Russell returned to the Lakers last season via a trade.
Since then, Russell has continued to improve his game.
Russell recently showcased what he is truly capable of during the Lakers’ recent game against the Milwaukee Bucks when he scored 44 points.
Russell’s remarkable performance prompted a plethora of reactions from fans.

Russell had 44 points that included nine 3-pointers.
It made him only the third Lakers star after Kobe Bryant and LeBron James to make nine 3-pointers in a single game.
Russell’s electrifying performance helped the Lakers register a much-needed 123-122 win over the Bucks.
Thanks to the win, the Lakers are now the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 35-30 record.
Considering LeBron James is currently recovering from an ankle injury, Russell will continue to have more weight on his shoulders to help carry the team.
Russell is averaging 18.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game for the Lakers this season.
