Derrick Rose has been in the NBA for 14 seasons now and has accomplished so much, although his output has diminished over the last few years.
Now the three-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year is bringing his talents to a team that is on the rise: the Memphis Grizzlies.
Ian Begley, via Adrian Wojnarowski, reported on Friday night that Rose has agreed to a two-year deal with the Grizzlies.
Additionally, he added that the team wants “Rose on the floor this season and as a leader in the locker room.”

The addition of Rose to the Grizzlies was a surprising move.
At 34 years old and after years of injuries, he is likely in the last few years of his career and some fans aren’t excited at the prospect of seeing him spend it in Memphis.

Many other people commented that this addition is a way for the Grizzlies to reel in Ja Morant.
As we all know, Morant has been greatly damaging his reputation and career lately.
Some people believe that Rose could help get the young man back on track and re-focused on the game.

That sentiment was echoed by many others, who believe that Marcus Smart will also be a factor in helping Morant play and act better.

There were many opinions about Rose moving to the Grizzlies with some people saying that it will help the Grizzlies, especially with the team morale and chemistry.

After the season they just had and the mess that Morant has gotten himself into, an improved, happier, and more functional locker room could be the best thing Rose provides.
