Fans React To Ezekiel Elliott Workout Video

Ezekiel Elliott’s career with the Dallas Cowboys didn’t end how most people expected.

The team released him in the offseason once his guaranteed money ran out, mostly because of his inefficiency and lack of production over the past couple of years.

Elliott, however, hasn’t given up on his NFL dream despite raising little-to-no interest around the league, which is why he’s trying to stay in game shape despite still being unsigned.

Nonetheless, fans weren’t all that impressed by Zeke’s workout video, with some claiming that he seems a bit overweight and others telling him to stay ready for the XFL.

He looks good, but will need a “prove it” year to make all the naysayers believers again.

There was a time when Elliott was one of the best running backs in the league.

But his production started to decline as soon as he signed that six-year, $90 million extension, either because of injuries, suspensions, or flat-out poor play.

Elliott entered the league as the fourth-overall pick out of Ohio State and led the NFL with 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns out of the gate, but he could never keep up that Hall-of-Fame caliber of production.

Zeke’s yearly regression also came at a time when fellow backfield colleague Tony Pollard emerged, even out-gaining him with 1,007 yards to Elliott’s 876 in 2023.

The Cowboys placed Pollard under the franchise tag and look to make him their RB for the future, at least for the time being.

Elliott, on the other hand, might need to wait until someone gets hurt to get another chance to prove that he’s still got more miles left in the tank than some people think.
