Fans React To Grizzlies’ Rough Start To The Season

The Memphis Grizzlies have been perennial playoff contenders since Ja Morant’s arrival.

The team is stacked with talent, and they usually fared quite well, even when Morant sat out with injuries or a suspension.

However, that hasn’t been the case thus far this season, with them losing their first games of the campaign without their All-Star point guard.

With that in mind, the fans took to Twitter to react to Hoop Central’s post about them being 0-4, and they had plenty to say about it.

i got slandered for having them missing the play in btw

In reality, Ja Morant failed his team, his teammates, the fans, and the organization as a whole.

He knew just how important he was to them, and even after getting multiple warnings and an initial suspension, he still didn’t care.

He’s now looking at another 21 games in street clothes, and while the Grizzlies won’t go 0-25, they’re likely to have a losing record by the time he’s eligible to come back.

Morant will now have to right his wrong by proving that he can put the team on his back and lead them back to contention, but there was no need to dig them into this kind of hole for a quarter of the season.

As for other players, such as Jaren Jackson Jr., they should also step up and pick up the slack in the meantime, as this isn’t a good look for a team that claims to be the next dynasty.

It’s still early, but Grizzlies fans should be quite disappointed in Ja Morant right now.
