It’s been a while since Isaiah Thomas played in the NBA but he had a statement game on Thursday that might earn him a return to the league.

Thomas posted 32 points in his G-League debut with the Salt Lake City Stars, with five three-pointers.

The Hoopers Voice and NBACentral posted a video of Thomas’ big game, which proved that he’s still got talent and a desire to play in the NBA.

Immediately after his G-League debut, many fans hopped online to celebrate the two-time All-Star.

His performance on Thursday night looked a lot like what he used to do in the NBA, where he earned a 17.7-point, 2.7-rebound, and 4.8-assist career.

he still got it

Many people were saying it is time for Thomas to re-enter the NBA but it’s not clear if that will happen.

The 35-year-old guard last played for the Charlotte Hornets in the 2021-22 season.

Before that, he played for the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers, but only for very brief stints.

Thomas is best known for his years playing for the Boston Celtics when he earned his All-Star appearances and averaged 24.7 points and 6 assists per game.

Thomas’ G-League game has many people thinking that he could be signing a contract with an NBA team soon.

He’s been a bucket his whole career. It’s clear the league collectively banned him, for whatever reason.

If Thomas did come back to the Association, it wouldn’t be the first time that he bounced back after many people had counted him.

In many ways, Thomas has been an underdog for all of his career and he is still eager to prove what he’s capable of.

That was on full display Thursday night in the G League, but will it be shown in the NBA soon?
