The Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown have put an end to all speculation about his future.
Following years of rumors about a potential trade and whatnot, the young guard/forward has inked his signature on the most lucrative deal in NBA history.
Brown and the Celtics reached an agreement on a supermax contract extension worth up to $304 million, and there were plenty of mixed reactions about it.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on this deal and whether he was worthy of that much money or not.

No one can deny that Brown is one of the best young players in the league.
He can play defense, is an aggressive scorer, and has come up big when the team has needed a leader and Jayson Tatum has underperformed.
Then again, there are tiers and levels to everything, and one can only wonder if Brown is the kind of player a team would commit $60 million a year on.
The new CBA makes it quite difficult to stack together max contracts, and Jayson Tatum is due for an even bigger contract extension next season.
They’ll commit over $600 million to two players alone, and that could come back to hurt them when they try to put more pieces around them in the future.
Some already question if Brown and Tatum can win together, but it doesn’t seem like the Celtics will have any choice but to double down on that commitment, as trading this contract will be almost impossible down the line.
