The Golden State Warriors made it close at times but they lost again to the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, bringing the current series record to 2-0 against them.
Unless something major changes, the defending champions could be leaving the playoffs in the first round.
Monday night’s game was full of excellent plays, a raucous crowd, and some dramatics.
The most explosive moment came when Draymond Green was ejected after stomping on the chest of Kings big man Domantas Sabonis.
The incident came after Sabonis fell to the ground and wrapped himself around Green’s leg.
The fall, Green’s reaction, and his ejection were talked about a lot following the game, including by Klay Thompson.
According to NBACentral, Thompson put the blame on Sabonis, saying, “What are you going to do when someone grabs your foot when you’re running full speed?”

While it is commendable to see Thompson support his friend and teammate, most of the internet mocked his statement about Green.
One Twitter responded plainly about what Green was supposed to do: “Not stomp on their chest.”

Others were questioning Thompson’s assessment that Green was running “at full speed” when it appeared as if he was actually not even moving yet when Sabonis wrapped around his leg.
Lol, full speed… Dray wasn’t even running

Some people focused on how Green regularly gets himself into situations like this.
Therefore, when there is a question about who caused it, Green’s past and his general personality will have people blaming him.
Personally I think this should have been a double tech and play on. But Draymond always finds himself in these situations. Benefit of the doubt will go to the other player(s) involved. He has a history of intentionally hurting other players in times of distress.

Green’s ejection from the game made it a lot harder for the Warriors to come back and secure a win.
They eventually lost, 114-106.
Will he redeem himself by coming back in a big way for Game 3?
Fans of the team hope so because Golden State’s chances of turning this series around are slipping away.
