Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers ended the season quite happy with the progress of their team.
Although they started the season in a horrible fashion, LA ended up turning things around and even ventured as far as the Western Conference Finals.
Now all eyes are on the future and the team’s projected starting lineup for next season is coming together.
According to Jovan Buha, via Hoop Central, that lineup will be D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.

This proposed lineup isn’t too surprising considering the success they found just months ago.
The response to this news was mostly positive online, although some people didn’t find this starting five so fearsome.
Some fans estimate that this squad, fun as it is, will only reach the eighth seed in the West.

Many people wanted to remind the Lakers that this lineup got swept by the Denver Nuggets during the Western Conference Finals.

Other people were hoping that Russell will remain more consistent in 2023-24.
Although he averaged 17.4 points a game, he was having trouble finding his shot, especially during the playoffs.

The expectations are certainly higher for these Lakers now that they have found sizable success.
The proposed lineup being reported sounds like music to the ears of many fans.
