LaVar Ball is not one to shy away from saying controversial things or stirring the pot about hot topics in the NBA.
The father of NBA players Lonzo and LaMelo Ball didn’t hold back when talking about LeBron James’ son, Bronny James.
LaVar believes Bronny should take his talents to Australia like his son LaMelo did before eventually being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets.
LaVar Ball advises Bronny James to pursue a career in Australia rather than attend college
“If you want to play basketball and you really that dude, why am I sitting in class trying to pass a chemistry test? I don’t wanna play no chemistry. I don’t wanna practice no Spanish.”… pic.twitter.com/sVbpnIIBz6

Here are some fan reactions to LaVar’s advice to Bronny:
He’s not wrong. Not only that, but if he goes overseas he doesn’t have to be a superstar like he’d be expected to in college. You go average 6 points in a good league overseas you’re a lock to get picked. More expectations if you play D1.

Not necessarily the best or worst advice, but anyone dismissing this as nonsense should be reminded that Lavar has 2 sons playing in the NBA, and a 3rd in the NBA G-League.

Lavar’s opinion is irrelevant. LeBron knows what he’s doing.

With LaMelo proving to be the ideal success story for bypassing the college game and going international, it makes perfect sense why LaVar would make this case.
However, it seems that LeBron wants his son to attend college, with Bronny wanting the same thing.
It’d be safe to say that Bronny isn’t all that concerned about making it to the NBA, with his father already saying he wants to play with his son and will sign with the team that drafts him.
It will be interesting to see the twist and turns of Bronny’s basketball career, as he doesn’t possess the same talent level as his incredibly famous and successful father.
The college game may ultimately help Bronny develop his game in a way that his father didn’t because LeBron jumped to the NBA right from high school.
Even former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant admitted to having the desire to play in college and how it may have helped his game, but obviously, for both Kobe and LeBron, it didn’t matter as they went on to be among the best players ever to play the game.
