The NBA is a superstar’s league, and as such, they often let the best players get away with stuff.
Even infamous referee Tim Donaghy admitted that all crews allowed Allen Iverson to palm and carry the ball on every single one of their drives, and they only started calling it because he threatened one of their colleagues.
So, it’s not unusual to see that the referees don’t blow the whistle when LeBron James travels, which notably happens way too often.
But there was too much to ignore in the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
The King drove to the rim and took several steps before being forced to pass the ball out the top of the key, making the Bulls’ announcer joke about the blatant and obvious travel.

Of course, the fans had a blast about the call on social media, with some even going as far as to say that it was a clean move.
Apparently the announcer needs to learn about the gather rule. And I can’t stand Lebron lol
