Fans React To Nuggets Win Over Suns In Game 5

The Denver Nuggets took care of business and got the series lead back with an impressive performance at home.

Mike Malone’s team hit the ground running and rose to the occasion after back-to-back losses in the Valley of the Sun, and they’ll now head back to the desert looking to punch their tickets to the Western Conference Finals.

Needless to say, NBA Twitter had a lot to say after watching the oddsmakers’ favorites to reach the NBA Finals now having their backs against the wall.

With #denver you can’t feel comfy until they actually win the series , they don’t have a proven track record of closing teams out so a game 7 is still possible.

Notably, there’s a big chance Chris Paul returns to the floor for Game 6 after missing the past three contests with a groin injury, which is obviously great news for Monty Williams and company.

The Suns were actually up late in the game when Paul left with that tight groin, so having him back on the court brings hope back to the desert.

Even so, the Nuggets have been stellar for the most part of the series, led by Nikola Jokic’s historic playoff run.

Plenty of people doubted the Nuggets’ ability to match-up versus star-studded teams, arguing they might be just another regular-season team.

Fast forward to this game, and it’s pretty safe to say that that’s not the case.

This could be a legacy-defining season for Jokic, and Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr. are all healthy and playing the best basketball of their careers, and not even Kevin Durant and Devin Booker might be enough to hold them down this time.
